The United Nations Golf Club (UNGC) is a dynamic group of golfers consisting of serving and retired staff of International Organizations in Vienna, Permanent Missions, Embassies and their immediate families. UNGC activities focus on friendly and challenge tournaments at golf courses around Vienna as well as golf excursions within Austria and abroad.
Although the UNGC is one of the oldest established UN clubs, existing for over 30 years, the UNGC organizes various tournaments in golf courses in and around Vienna. In 2009, UNGC organized 9 tournaments in GC Fontana, GC Colony Club Himberg, GC Enzesfeld, GC Lengenfeld, GC Schonfeld, GC Sussenbrunn, GC Hainburg, GC Ottenstein, and GC Poysdorf.
In addition, 2 golf excursions to Cadiz Spain and Lisbon Portugal were organized. The UNGC tournaments are popular in the Austrian golf community for the interesting prizes, tombola’s, wine tasting from various wine producers as well as social events in the evenings.
The UNGC success is in no small part due to the involvement of the Club's sponsors, including well-known local and international firms and to the professional organization of its events.

Any individual employed by an international organization located at the VIC or an international organization or permanent mission accredited to the VIC-based international organizations may apply for membership with the UNGC. Members may apply for family membership for their spouses and their dependent children.

UNGC Golf tournaments:
The UNGC hosts two signature tournaments, The “UN Trophy ElBaradei Cup” hosted in honor of the Director General Emeritus of the IAEA, Dr. Mohamed El Baradei and the “Ambassadors Cup” hosted in honour of the heads of missions based in Vienna.
