Persönliches Statement zur Einbindung in die Vorstellung von Herta Margaret Habsburg (Flame of Peace) in The Best of the World- The Best of Vienna start-up project.

"Als ich vor über 10 Jahren die Flamme des Friedens - initiiert habe, war es mir einfach ein dringendes, persönliches Anliegen, Menschen die sich für ein friedliches Miteinander einsetzen, auszuzeichnen und damit auch für andere sichtbar zu machen.

Auch Maria Petrak ist eine jener Personen, die mit ihrem Engagement und ihrem vollen Einsatz für andere ein Vorbild ist. Ich bin daher sehr dankbar, dass Sie mit Ihrer Initiative The Best of Vienna auf mich zugekommen ist, um eine Kooperation unserer beiden Netzwerke einzugehen.

Wo findet man heute noch 100% Einsatz und Engagement, bei dem man wirklich sagen kann: Das ist THE BEST OF! Marias Konzept folgt geradlinig der einfachen Grundidee, ein Netzwerk von Menschen und Angeboten aufzubauen.

Als Präsidentin der Flamme des Friedens freue ich mich daher sehr über die Kooperation mit The Best of the World und Vienna, und damit über die Chance - wohl auch schon fast eine Freundschaft unter Gleichgesinnten - zwei Netzwerke zusammen zu bringen, die die Vielfalt der Kulturen schätzen, die Menschen verbinden, Positives sichtbar machen und stärken.

The Best of Vienna und The Flame of Peace bringen ihr  Engagement und  Einsatz ein, für eine lebenswertere Welt für uns alle!  Ich freue  mich auf die künftige Kooperation und Zusammenarbeit mit Maria Petrak."

The Vienna Opera Ball - the society event of the year

The Vienna Opera Ball 2012 is under the patronage of the 

President of the Republic of Austria Dr. Heinz Fischer.

Every year, the world famous Vienna Opera Ball (Wiener Opernball in German), the most popular of all balls, is organized at the Vienna State Opera. The auditorium of the Vienna State Opera is transformed for an evening of dance and becomes the most beautiful ballroom in the world.

Experience the glamour, meet the important personalities from industry, economy, business, diplomacy, as well as renowned artists and international celebrities. For sure a very special night to remember!

The Opera Ball is one of the highlights of the Viennese carnival season. The dress code is evening dress: white tie and tails for men; floor-length ballgowns for women.

This year, The Vienna Opera  Ball will take place on 16 February 2012. More information and tickets can be found on the State Opera website.

On 31 January 2012, the organizers of the Ball Ms Desirée Treichl-Stuergkh and Ms Eva Dintsis (on the photo above), together with the Director of the Vienna Opera organized the press conference and welcoming cocktail for the media and press.

The Best of "Society" in Vienna

Today, 31 January 2012, after the Opera Ball press conference, I had the great pleasure to attend the New Ambassadors Reception at one of the best hotels in Vienna: Hotel Imperial. The most interesting personalities from the diplomatic community as well as personally invited guests from economy, politics, culture and media attended this exclusive cocktail.

Publisher of the SOCIETY Magazine KR Mag. Gertrud Tauchhammer organized the traditional informal welcome reception and get-together in honour of the newly appointed Ambassadors to Austria.

Nuha Aga, The Best of the World commercial manager and PR

Thanks to our friends from the Spanish Embassy in Vienna and their personal recommendation, Nuha became a very important part of the Best of Vienna and The Best of the World team.

We are pleased to announce that Mrs Nuha Aga will be in charge of the commercialization of the Best of Vienna and the Best of the World start-up project focusing on the Arab speaking region, connecting the cultures and businesses from East and West.

Nuha is Arab origin from Damascus, the oldest city in the world. She lived and worked a long time in the Gulf States that represent one of the world's most developed and most prosperous countries in the world. She moved to Vienna, the cultural heart of Europe with her family a few years ago. Nuha Aga is a women known for her beautiful smile and deep self-confidence which reflects on each person that she meets. She is the perfect person for this position in our ever-growing team.

Her professional strength is working with public relations, especially television and media. Nuha will be in charge of the Best of the World marketing and PR with the focus of connecting Vienna with many other cities in the world, especially all Arabic speaking countries that are interested to expand their business relations with Vienna and Austria. Nuha is also translating some articles to Arabic language for the Best of Vienna readers  that will provide useful information about the highlights and insider tips about Vienna  to Arabic speaking tourists, business executives and visitors.
